These past months have been an unprecedented time in the history of our company, and indeed, in all our lives.
On Friday March 20th, 2020, CWA’s physical offices were closed, with our entire operation becoming remote in response to the developments related to the outbreak of Covid-19. Since this date, all staff have worked from their respective remote home-offices via a virtual private network (“VPN”).
CWA is grateful for all the extraordinary efforts that our personnel have made while working remotely from home to ensure the continuity of our business and continuation of quality service to our valued clients. We also wish to thank our clients for their continued support during this period. We are very pleased to note that, due to advanced planning and the swift implementation of new procedures and mitigation measures, the transition to working remotely has been a smooth one, with no impact to our firm’s productivity.
Starting on Monday the 15th of June 2020, CWA offices will be entering a period of phased re-opening, with resumption of regular office hours. CWA offices will initially open at a reduced capacity, in accordance with our new set of protocols, designed to keep our employees and clients safe and to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 transmission as we move forward together. A significant number of our staff will continue to work remotely.
This comprehensive set of new office protocols has been developed over the past several weeks in accordance with the recommendations and guidelines set out by our provincial government, the BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC), WorkSafe BC, and the Public Health Agency of Canada. These protocols include measures such as additional spacing of staff workspaces to promote physical distancing, as well as requesting all staff and visitors to complete a Health Declaration Form prior to entering our offices.
CWA will continue to follow the recommendations of the BC Government, the BCCDC, WorkSafe BC, and the Public Health Agency of Canada in the weeks and months ahead as we enter this period of the phased re-opening of BC’s economy.
