CWA is Presenting at North American Frac Sand 2020

DATE: February 27th

TIME: 11:00 a.m.

PLACE: The Hyatt Regency – Houston, Texas

On Thursday, February 27th, CWA’s Vice President of Engineering and Development, Steven Yee, will be presenting a technical paper on the important topic of dust management at the North American Frac Sand Exhibition and Conference in Houston, Texas.

The need for companies to assess and address the harmful effects of dust on human health, worker safety, and the environment has come to the forefront in recent years. These concerns, combined with an increasingly stringent regulatory environment, affect all sectors utilizing bulk material processing operations and handling systems. These considerations are especially important for companies that operate frac sand mines and transload facilities due to the health risks associated with silica sand.

CWA specializes in the design of customized bulk handling systems, including design of soft-handling transfers using Discrete Element Method (DEM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling of material flow and trajectory. CWA’s design solutions integrate these elements with other active and passive methods of dust suppression, operational techniques, and optimized facility layouts to provide clients with tailored dust management systems and ongoing monitoring strategies that meet and exceed the highest standards and regulations for worker safety, health and protection of the environment.

We look forward to sharing our concepts and ideas in more detail with attendees of the Frac Sand 2020 Exhibition and Conference in Houston, Texas this Thursday, February 27th at 11:00 am.
